Our commitment to excellence

The NCAA Code of Conduct aims to promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, including players, coaches, officials, volunteers, and spectators. This Code of Conduct sets out the expected standards of behaviour to ensure that cricket is played and supported in the spirit of sportsmanship and mutual respect.

Respect and Integrity

Treat all participants with respect, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, or ability
Always uphold the principles of fair play and sportsmanship
Act with integrity and honesty in all interactions and decisions

Behaviour and Conduct

Maintain a positive attitude and encourage others to do the same
Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying
Respect the decisions of match officials and accept them without dispute
Refrain from the use of drugs, alcohol, or any other substances that could impair performance or judgment

Safety and Well-being

Prioritise the safety and well-being of all participants
Maintain personal health and fitness to ensure safe participation in activities
Report any injuries or health concerns to the NCAA delegates or the management

Communication

Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts or disputes promptly and respectfully through appropriate channels

Venue Responsibility

Respect and protect the environment, ensuring that facilities and grounds are kept secured, clean and tidy after the game

Compliance

Comply with all NCAA rules, regulations, and policies
Report any violations of this Code of Conduct to the NCAA delegates or the management

Consequences

Understanding disciplinary actions

Disciplinary Actions: Understand that violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including suspension, monetary fine or expulsion from the league.

Level 1

Verbal Warning

A verbal warning will be issued for minor infractions or first-time offenses.

Level 2

Written Warning

A formal written warning will be issued for repeated minor infractions or more serious first-time offenses.

Level 3

Monetary Fines

Monetary fines will be imposed for certain violations, particularly those involving disputing or disrespecting match officials' decisions. The fine amount will be determined by the NCAA disciplinary committee based on the severity of the offense.

Level 4

Match Sanctions

Sanctions such as suspension from participation in matches will be imposed for serious violations, including disputing or disrespecting match officials' decisions. The length of the suspension will depend on the severity of the violation and will be determined by the NCAA disciplinary committee.

Purpose: To reinforce the importance of respecting match officials and maintaining the integrity of the game.

Level 5

Suspension

Temporary suspension from participation in matches or other league activities. The length of the suspension will depend on the severity of the violation and will be determined by the NCAA disciplinary committee.

Purpose: To provide a period for reflection and to emphasise the seriousness of the violation.

Level 6

Expulsion

Permanent expulsion from the league for severe or repeated violations.

Purpose: To protect the integrity of the league and ensure a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

Level 7

Referral to Authorities

Referral to law enforcement or other relevant authorities for violations that involve illegal activities.

Level 8

Public Apology

Requirement to issue a public apology by the individual or the team to affected parties.

Purpose: To acknowledge the impact of the violation and take responsibility for one's actions.
